We are looking for an experienced accountant to offer Folkestone Collective CIC support with financial management/ book-keeping/ accountancy.
Folkestone Collective prioritise applications from individuals who have a criminal record due to the fact the ethos of Social Enterprise is to support ex-offenders in the community. However, for this role we will also consider volunteers who do not have a criminal record.
Ideally we are looking for someone with a proven track record in supporting small businesses in terms of financial management and book-keeping. A professional accountancy qualification is desirable.
We are looking for an experienced accountant/book-keeper/treasurer to assist our social enterprise with end of year account preparation, ongoing budgeting monitoring and recording and someone who can work with the CIC to ensure its financial stability going forward. There will be 4 official finance meetings per year to attend and ad-hoc contact with the CIC Director to offer updates on financial management and stability. The post holder will also be expected to prepare end of year accounts on behalf of the CIC.
The post holder, can, if interested, also become involved in funding applications and supporting the CIC in terms of seeking out funding streams and setting up trading through the social enterprise.

At the The Rainbow Centre we are looking for volunteers for our Money Matters Project, which aims to help out-of-work people in Folkestone overcome their debt problems.
Don't worry, you don't need to be a financial expert - we have a money advisor for that.
The money advisor creates an individual debt plan specific to the client. Your role as a Volunteer Mentor would be to help the client organise and prepare for debt plan meetings and support them as they strive to follow the plan to its successful completion and a better future, including working with clients to support them back into work or education where appropriate.

As a volunteer beach lifeguard you will be assisting our team with ensuring the safety of visitors to the Sunny Sands Beach.

Volunteer drivers needed to take elderly and/or infirm clients to appointments at hospitals, surgeries, clinics, shopping, etc. using their own vehicles. Drivers may select how often and on which days and at which times they wish to be available for driving.
A clean driving licence is preferable. Expenses are paid at the rate of 45p per mile, and this applies from the time the driver leaves his/her home and back again.

We are looking for individuals, who would like to give their time as a support to Children & Young People across the region. Volunteers support our delivery of bereavement groups for Parents/Carers and Children and Young People up to the age of 25.
We work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and the Volunteers would enhance the service and support the Children in various different ways.
They would attend the workshops and explain ‘CHUMS’ objectives.
Our Volunteers are all committed to making a difference to the lives of Children, Young People and their families.
Our Bereavement Volunteers will undergo training delivered by our team.
We support our Volunteers by offering a regular ongoing training programme and a bi-monthly communications meeting. We also offer support and supervision at any time.
This service supports the Children & Young People in Kent who have experienced bereavement.
It is a holistic approach and it is important to understand the issues that children & young people face.
The Volunteer would need to enjoy Children’s company and have a genuine concern for the emotional wellbeing of the Child.
