To become a befriender, you’ll need to be kind, caring, trustworthy and patient.
A DBS check will be required and training will be provided for this role.
If you have a couple of hours to spare once a week/fortnight it would be great to hear from you and the great thing about telephone befriending is that it is flexible and you can arrange it around other commitments.

The type of works undertaken are very varied but conservation work such as tree planting, managing invasive vegetation, litter picking and general day to day maintenance of the country park.
You will develop skills using hand tools, increase your knowledge of park management , help with event management and join a team of like-minded enthusiastic people.
A willingness to learn and good communication skills are welcome.
Induction and full training will be given.
The role requires volunteers to be working outside, so will need a moderate level of fitness.

We require OWNER-DRIVERS to pick up PATIENTS and take them to various locations. Journeys can be long or short.
Journeys could be with a patient only or could include family members or staff, and may also include some luggage. You will be transporting people who have a mental health condition and so sensitivity, understanding and patience are essential.
You will be using your own vehicle and will be reimbursed fuel costs each month, based on your mileage.
You will also have to have an Enhanced DBS check made. Full training and support will be offered.
