We all know it’s costing more to do the weekly shop, to pay our energy bills and to fill a tank of petrol, so it’s no surprise that this increase in day-to-day living is going to have an effect on volunteers.
During the pandemic, 88% of organisations reported that they were aware of volunteers choosing not to claim expenses, but those people who previously felt uncomfortable or unwilling to do so will soon start to do this.
